The Customer Service in Jordan, another story seeking solutions!

Customer Service, your satisfaction is our goal, our priorities are our customers, I bet every one of us heard a lot of slogans of companies providing services; whither it’s local, or international. But the question is, how far can companies go with their honestly regarding their slogans, I mean, we have great companies with great services, but on the other hand, unfortunately, we have others who can give you a bad example on how bad service could be.

Here is a story that I would like to share with you as an example of one bad experience with one of the new local e-commerce -brands only online shopping- websites I’ve been through:

Six weeks ago I ordered a watch as a birthday gift, after checking with the customer service of that site, they promised that it will be delivered within 2-3 weeks maximum, and this was just perfect, as it’s going to be delivered by the time of the birthday. The first contact with them was after those claimed 3 weeks ended, to find the big "pain in the nick" thing, that it needs extra 10 days! I mean how you would add extra 80% for the date of delivery!! And of course no one gives an exact estimation on a date for delivery.

Anyway, after the 10 days finished I contacted them again to ask for my shipment and the Hooray factor popped up to me for telling me that the shipment is within their premises and will be delivered by 2-3 days maximum. Again after those "3 days" I kept calling or sending emails, with no specific answer, I even got an answer that they don't have my shipment yet within their hands.

So after emails, calls, and chats back and forth, with no exact answer, and the delays that being offered by them, I ended up with canceling the shipment, as the birthday is 3 weeks behind now, and no reason for getting the gift.

Now as I was thinking of their service, I told them i won’t buy anything from you, and I won’t recommend you, but nobody gave me any proper answer!! If a Customer Service employee told you, I have nothing in my hands, how would you rate them!?

So, when would we solve this, you rarely find a Customer Care who can give you the needed satisfaction, that lets you reconsider using the service again, why in other countries, the customer is always a high priority, why here they don't give a mind for the customer!

Hi Ahmad Taha,

Thanks for your participation, actually no one would ask for the SLAs, as i think no body would care from the companies if it applied or not, those SLA should be taken seriously.

Actually -and I am sorry for that- we reach a limit that when the customer service said "we will, we promise, it’s for sure...etc" the 1st thing that we will have on our mind that “They Are Lying".
I think when we want to ask for service we have to ask about SLA! Real SLA not SLA-For Fun

Let's add Zain (twitter: @ZainJo) to the list.

These guys love sending their customers on a goose chase around Jordan.

I first bought Zain-Fi, the portable wireless internet device. It wasn't working they way it was supposed to, so I took it back to where I bought it from: Zain at Mecca Mall. They told me that they have nothing to do with fixing the issue and that I should take it to the technical centre on the 7th circle. I also tweeted about the issue, and Zain contacted me via twitter. They also said to go to the technical centre near the 7th circle.

So you can guess what they said when I arrived at the 7th circle: they told me to go to Mecca Mall and that they have nothing to do with the issue of fixing it. They were playing "go here and there" tactics to keep passing on the problem to someone else.

I don't fancy these stupid games they play, so I left my Zain-Fi and contract papers at the 7th circle and said,

"When you want my money, call me."

I've yet to see what happens.
