Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan, FIFA Vice President - Asia

Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan is officially voted on to FIFA's Executive Committee after scoring a stunning victory over the long-serving incumbent Chung Mong-joon of South Korea at the Asian Football Confederation Congress on Thursday. Jordan's Prince Ali stunned powerful South Korean Chung Mong-Joon to unseat him as a FIFA vice-president. Prince Ali, 35, beat Chung, 59, who has sat on the Exco since 1994, by 25 votes to 20.

His Royal Highness Prince Ali Bin Al Hussein of Jordan, the President of the Jordan Football Association, the founder and president of the West Asian Football Federation, and the Chairman of the Board of the Royal Film Commission, has  announced his candidacy for the position of FIFA Vice President - Asia on October 7, 2010. Prince Ali's campaign is about uniting all countries in Asia in the pursuit of a stronger and more prominent place for Asia within FIFA and the world of football, besides change and reinstating the ideals and values of football.
